Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to lead and grow our Florida hydrogeology practice. You will oversee groundwater projects including water supply and ASR, mentor staff, and build client relationships across Florida while coordinating with our Water teams in Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Lauderdale, Miami‑Dade, and West Palm Beach.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of hydrogeology experience, Florida regulatory expertise, proven project leadership, and the ability to win major proposals

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hydrogeology or water resources experience.
• FL Professional Geologist (PG) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with water supply wells, monitoring wells, DIW, UIC, or ASR.
• Florida regulatory/permitting experience.
• Project management and client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and mentoring of junior staff, support client proposal negotiations, writing technical proposals, and support permitting and report preparation.
• Design, permit, and lead construction oversight of water supply, deep injection, and ASR wells.
• Provide QA/QC review and technical oversight of field and design work by other hydrogeologists within the company.
• Work as a Project Manager to plan, execute, and deliver hydrogeology-related projects on schedule and within budget.
• Lead and/or support business/client development activities to secure new hydrogeology projects across Florida.
• Develop scopes of work and budgets for hydrogeology projects and prepare subconsultant agreements.
