Job summary

Stantec, a leading engineering and design firm, seeks a Senior Hydrogeologist to grow and lead the Florida hydrogeology practice. The role focuses on water supply, deep injection, ASR, and monitoring wells, leveraging strong regulatory knowledge and client relationships across Florida.

The candidate will mentor staff, pursue strategic opportunities, and collaborate with Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Lauderdale, Miami-Dade, and West Palm Beach teams to deliver major groundwater projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of hydrogeology or water resources experience.
• Florida Professional Geologist (PG) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with water supply wells, DIW/UIS/ASR, and permitting.
• Strong project management and client-facing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor junior staff; support client proposals and permitting.
• Design, permit, and oversee construction of water supply, deep injection, and ASR wells.
• Provide QA/QC review and technical oversight of field and design work.
• Act as Project Manager to plan, execute, and deliver hydrogeology projects on time and budget.
• Lead or support business development to secure Florida hydrogeology projects; prepare proposals and presentations.
• Develop scopes of work and budgets; prepare subconsultant agreements.
