Job summary

Stantec in Florida seeks a Senior Hydrogeologist to grow and lead the state's groundwater practice, overseeing major water supply, ASR and monitoring wells projects while collaborating with Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Lauderdale and Miami-Dade teams. The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, senior technical credibility, and the ability to mentor staff and pursue strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hydrogeology or water resources experience.
• Florida PG or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with water supply wells, monitoring wells, DIW, UIC, or ASR.
• Florida regulatory/permitting experience.
• Project management and client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Florida hydrogeology practice and mentor staff.
• Support client proposal negotiations and writing technical proposals.
• Design, permit, and lead construction oversight of wells (water supply, deep injection, ASR).
• Provide QA/QC review and technical oversight of field and design work.
• Manage projects to meet schedules and budgets.
• Develop scopes of work and budgets; prepare subconsultant agreements.
