Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Floral Department Manager to lead the Floral team with a focus on product quality, customer service, and department profitability. You will set standards for pricing, promotions, and order handling for FTD, Teleflora, and online orders.

As a key leader, you’ll recruit, train, and coach staff while planning weekly schedules and sales-driving displays. You will monitor inventory, maintain proper temperatures, and ensure safety and cleanliness across the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Over three years of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar material-handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set the standard for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance, and overall department profitability.
• Greet customers warmly and handle and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and develop all department employees.
• Analyze weekly and monthly sales and trends; plan displays and promotions to drive sales.
• Manage department bookkeeping and oversee invoices and financial procedures.
