Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Specialist to be among the first friendly faces customers meet, helping them find products and turn ideas into reality in a fast-paced store. You’ll become the product expert, explaining specs, promotions and financing options to close sales while delivering consistently helpful service.

You’ll work across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, and more, with opportunities to train peers and support store operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail experience if education requirement is not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods; lift 25lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand their needs and communicate advantages of Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing project estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing and tracking orders/installations, and following up to ensure project completion.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, working with vendors and other stores to find merchandise and order replacement stock.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and ensure maintenance of pricing and documentation.
• Support all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department by conducting on-the-job training on the Sales floor and coaching around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned
