Job summary

Floor & Decor is hiring Sales Associates to deliver friendly, accurate customer service on the store floor in Milpitas, CA. You will help customers select products, keep displays stocked, and process sales at the register, while upholding safety rules and store policies.

Full-Time and Part-Time positions are available. If you love helping others and learning about flooring, join our energetic team and contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused sales floor.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Forklift certification may be required where permitted by state law.
• Drug test may be required where state law allows.

Responsibilities

• Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend our products and excite customers about their purchase.
• Provide above and beyond customer service and exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure it is clean, shoppable and safe.
• Work in cooperation with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
• Process customers at checkout using the point of sale (POS) system.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
• Follow established cash, check and credit card acceptance procedures.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs.
• Stock, tag and display merchandise.
• Act in line with the company’s core values and safety processes.
• Answer telephone according to guidelines and be available to assist in other areas.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
