Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to meet with customers, listen to project needs, educate on requirements, and create a design concept that reflects the client’s style, lifestyle and budget.

You will greet customers, schedule design consultations, and advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories while managing multiple projects from inquiry to installation using Salesforce and the company’s design tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of design consultant experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele via networking and referrals.
• Advise homeowners, designers, and builders on tile, wood, stone and accessories.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accuracy and timely communication.
• Collaborate with leadership to achieve sales goals and participate in trends.
• Utilize design tools such as Salesforce, Online Scheduler and MyProject.
