Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a design consultant to greet customers, assess project needs, and propose complete design solutions that align with personal style and budget.

You will schedule appointments, grow the client base, and guide customers from concept to installation in a fast-paced retail setting. The role requires design experience or retail/sales background, knowledge of hard surfaces, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year interior design or prior retail/sales experience
• Degree in Design is a plus
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accuracy and timely follow-up
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Engage in current design trends and utilize design applications
• Perform other duties as assigned
