Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. seeks an in-store Design Consultant to greet customers, discuss project needs, and design creative concepts aligning with personal style and budget. You will educate customers on materials and services, schedule appointments, and drive sales through informed recommendations.

Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry through installation, staying current with design trends and using design tools to deliver exceptional experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year interior design experience or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and multi-task in fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support store design walk-ins.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals.
• Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential/commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
