Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Flooring Solutions Technician 2 to coordinate with leadership, demonstrate operation and repair skills, and ensure safe, professional service. Responsibilities include maintenance, checks, loading/unloading, and coordinating with customers for deliveries and service calls.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanical experience, a high school diploma or GED, and tool ownership. A comprehensive benefits package is offered for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic experience.
• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• Will need to provide mechanic's tools of trade.
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess a high degree of safety-awareness and knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins when equipment is returned to the shop.
• Assists with loading and unloading of equipment as needed.
• Cleans, pressure washes, and preps equipment for repairs and rents-ready status.
• Perform full-service maintenance on all equipment, diagnoses, and repairs most mechanical problems.
• Maintain safe work environment and perform duties in accordance with safety standards.
• Keeps track of rental equipment (inventory) and coordinates deliveries, pick-ups and service calls with customers.
• Maintains warehouse area and supplies.
• Delivers and installs rented equipment; trains operator on safe use.
• On-call for emergency service; participates in rotating schedule for weekends/evenings.
