Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. seeks a Flooring Solutions Technician 3 to coordinate with leadership and provide top-tier service for equipment use, setup and repair. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose complex problems and ensure safety while minimizing downtime.

The role includes managing inventory, parts, service records, and customer communications. A strong safety mindset and the ability to work on-call on weekends/evenings are required.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• High school diploma or GED; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• Must provide mechanic’s tools of trade; strong troubleshooting skills expected.
• Ability to prioritize work, work independently and adapt to fast-paced changes; strong safety awareness.
• Experience with floor care equipment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and service a range of rental equipment, including dismantling and rebuilding.
• Coordinate deliveries, pickups and service calls; maintain inventory and records.
• Operate vehicles safely and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Complete paperwork for deliveries, pickups and service calls; track serial numbers.
• Provide customer training on safe use of equipment and ensure quality standards.
