Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Flooring Solutions Technician 1 to coordinate service with leadership and provide exemplary support for our customers. You will demonstrate equipment handling, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs with professionalism and safety in mind.

The role requires 1–3 years of mechanic experience, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work independently while managing busy schedules and equipment inventory.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• High school diploma or GED required; some trade training desired.
• Must provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins and minor repairs when equipment is returned to the shop.
• Assists with loading and unloading of equipment as needed.
• Cleans, pressure washes, and preps equipment for repairs and rent-ready status.
• Performs full-service maintenance and diagnoses simple mechanical problems.
• Maintains safe work environment and adheres to safety standards.
• Keeps track of rental equipment and coordinates deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Maintains warehouse area and tools; ensures parts availability.
• Delivers and installs rented equipment and trains customers on safe use.
• On-call for emergency service on rotating weekends/evenings.
