Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Consultant to engage customers on the sales floor, conducting design appointments to determine needs in tile, wood, stone and accessories. You will collaborate with store leaders to maximize sales goals and expand the design services brand.

The role starts with a minimum base pay of $15.00 per hour and offers higher starting pay based on experience. Must have 1+ year of retail or customer service experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail/customer service experience.
• High school diploma and or GED.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates a minimum of 6 months with Floor and Decor.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-ins.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals.
• Advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete home design solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
