Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to meet with customers, understand project needs, and educate them on required design considerations. You will create concept designs that reflect personal style and budget while driving sales across tile, wood, stone, and related accessories.

The role emphasizes in-store consultation, appointment scheduling, and collaboration with store leadership to reach sales goals. A design background or retail experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timely follow-up.
