Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to engage customers on the sales floor and conduct design appointments for tile, wood, stone, and accessories. You will partner with store leadership to maximize sales goals and expand the design services brand.

The role requires at least 1 year in retail or customer service, a high school diploma, and basic math skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a strong multi-tasking ability are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail/customer service experience.
• High school diploma and/or GED.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates a minimum of 6 months with Floor and Decor.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up.
