Job summary

Aging, Inc. is seeking a diligent Floor Technician to keep all floor areas clean, safe, and well-maintained in our Darlington facility.

You will be responsible for cleaning carpets and hard surface floors, and for operating and maintaining floor care equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet extractors. Responsibilities include moving furniture for floor care, maintaining inventory of supplies, and ensuring proper use of cleaning products while following safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience as Floor Technician or similar required.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and tools.
• Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment.
• Physical strength and stamina to carry heavy items and stand long periods.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: sweeping, mopping, polishing and waxing
• Operate floor scrubber and carpet extractor equipment
• Move furniture and other items as needed for floor care
• Maintain inventory of floor care supplies
• Ensure proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
• Report any needed repairs or safety hazards immediately
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management
