Job summary

Castle Healthcare in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a floor care technician to maintain and restore hard-surface floors and perform carpet care across facilities. The role requires operating cleaning equipment, following safety rules, and performing routine maintenance on a variety of floor types.

The ideal candidate will have prior floor care experience, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a background check. Flexibility with shifts is preferred to meet site needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures due to physical risks.
• Requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work at varying times and be punctual.
• Must obtain a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and applies stripping, refinishing, and burnishing procedures.
• Operates floor care equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Follows carpet care procedures including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after use.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Adheres to safety precautions and proper mixing of cleaning solutions.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance
• Must provide a criminal background check
