Job summary

University-Park-Rehabilitation-and-Healthcare-Center is seeking a dedicated floor care technician to maintain hard surfaces and carpet areas. You will operate floor care equipment and apply stripping, refinishing, and burnishing techniques to large floor surfaces.

The role requires knowledge of floor care equipment, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work varying shifts. If you can lift up to 50 lbs and follow supervision-less guidelines, you may be a fit.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing.
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Follows proper carpet procedures including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use.
• Mixes and uses cleaning solutions safely and adheres to safety precautions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance
• Must provide a criminal background check
