Job summary

Commercial Flooring Systems in Omaha, NE is seeking a reliable Full-Time Floor Technician to join our facilities team. You will clean and maintain tile, carpet, vinyl, concrete, and hardwood floors to keep spaces safe and attractive.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently or with a team, a valid driver's license, and physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and operate cleaning equipment. Evening, weekend, or holiday shifts may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Commercial Flooring Systems is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Full-Time Floor Technician to join our facilities team. The Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various types of flooring, including tile, carpet, vinyl, concrete, and hardwood, to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for floor care and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using manual and powered equipment
• Strip, wax, buff, and polish hard surface floors as needed
• Extract and spot clean carpets using carpet cleaning machines
• Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues
• Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE at all times
• Assist with general janitorial duties when required
• Monitor and restock floor care supplies
• Communicate any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly
• Follow established procedures and schedules for floor maintenance

You must have a valid driver’s license, pass a background check, and have reliable transportation to and from our facility at 108th and L Street.
