Job summary

Stanford’s Restaurant and Bar in Seattle, WA seeks a dynamic Floor Supervisor for a part-time hourly role. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, directs FOH staff, ensures guest satisfaction, and upholds health and safety standards.

The role supports FOH and BOH, assists training, handles guest concerns, opens/closes the dining room, and maintains a strong presence to ensure service excellence. DOE.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related experience, including prior supervisory experience.
• Food Handler’s permit required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience managing front-of-house staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct front-of-house staff and monitor dining area for cleanliness and setup.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Resolve customer complaints and emergencies with quick decisions.
• Ensure guests receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
• Maintain a strong floor presence to support FOH and BOH teams.
• Fill in where needed to meet service standards.

Requirements

• Requirements:Helps manage the FOH staff including directing work, addressing concerns, and holding staff accountable.
• Assists management with training new employeeMonitors the dining area to ensure cleanliness, proper setup, and adherence to health and safety standardsOversees the opening and closing procedures, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Handles customer complaints, conflicts, and emergencies, making quick decisions to resolve issues.
• Ensures all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
• Maintains an extensive floor presence to support the FOH and BOH staff.
• Fills in where needed to ensure guest service standards are met and operations run efficiently.
