Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper customer service and develop relationships with large customers.
• Supervises and works alongside Assistant Floor Manager, Floor Supervisors and Stockers to assure shelves are stocked and merchandise rotated.
• Develops schedules, monitors performance and recommends discipline as appropriate.
• Trains employees in job responsibilities and safe operating procedures.
• Interviews candidates and recommends for hires.
• Ensures HACCP regulations are followed and conducts HACCP audits.
• Reviews inventory for product rotation daily to prevent shrinkage and damages.
• Ensures shelf pricing is correct and reflects pricing and market conditions.
• Supervises receiving of products and ensures proper paperwork is completed.
• Maintains accurate computer inventory levels with regular physical inventories.
• Supervises ordering from vendors to ensure competitive pricing and minimal spoilage.
• Coordinates pallets with proper block and date tags.
• Maintains cleanliness through regular maintenance schedule.
• Stacks excess inventory to unused spaces and ensures proper storage.
• Ensures trash removal from floor.
• Communicates low stock information to Inventory Controller.
• Ensures signage is accurate and flyers’ prices are reflected.
• Coordinates merchandising of aisles and impulse areas.
• Performs additional duties and weekly self-audits in perishable department.
• Works varied schedules and may start before opening or close store.
