Job summary

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is hiring full-time Floor Techs in the Memphis area. Starting pay is $14.00 per hour. The role involves floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, carpet care, and safety-focused cleaning across designated spaces.

Responsibilities include operating janitorial equipment, reporting hazards, and following company policies. Prior floor care experience is preferred, with necessary physical requirements noted, including lifting and climbing as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules and chemical handling documents (English; Spanish where required).
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Climb ladders and access gangways safely.
• One year of floor care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform spot removal, extraction, bonnet cleaning, strip/wax, scrub/recoat, seal/grout, etc.
• Scrub, shine, clean, and repair carpeted and non-carpeted areas with appropriate equipment and chemicals.
• Clean floors and stairways by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Move large furniture and objects safely and report needed repairs or hazards.
• Maintain a neat janitor closet and follow safety guidelines.
