Job summary

The Floor Care Technician will be responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (including stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting). Provides superior cleaning services onsite at locations under limited supervision and works in a collaborative relationship with other Building Maintenance team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors (hard surfaces and carpet) including stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting.
• Operate floor care machines safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
• Perform dusting and general area cleaning as assigned.
• Report time worked and any equipment issues to supervision.
• Adhere to attendance, safety, and quality standards on every shift.
• Support the Building Maintenance team to ensure clean, welcoming facilities.
