Job summary

So Il Health Care Foundation is seeking a clerical professional based in Mattoon, IL, with travel between Arthur, Mattoon, and Charleston locations as needed. The role covers patient registration, scheduling, billing support, and medical records processing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Training in Medical Terminology is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior service to all customers.
• Handle a high volume of calls with good judgment and clear communication.
• Create patient cases and document as requested.
• Notify new patient of doctor’s prescription preferences.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments and interpreter services.
• Process patient payments and balance owed; verify insurance.
• Prepare charts and update demographics and insurance information.
• Ensure insurance verification prior to patient visits.
• Complete end-of-day batching and filing.
• Scan documents into electronic chart.
• Assist patients with paperwork and ensure confidentiality.
