Job summary

Dr. Tavel Optical Group is seeking a versatile Floating Lab Technician for second shift. You will travel across lab functions, supporting inventory, machinery operation, and glasses assembly while filling in for teammates on PTO.

We offer comprehensive training; optical experience is a plus but not required. The role requires adaptability, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Experience or exposure to optics is a plus, training provided.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication across departments.
• Comfort with rotating between lab functions and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate lab machinery to produce eyewear.
• Handle tasks across inventory, assembly, and related areas.
• Fill in for teammates on PTO and assist backlogged work.
• Coordinate with managers and departments to stay aligned.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment and perform light repairs.
• Adapt to shifting priorities while working independently.
