ABB Optical Group in Hawthorne, NY is seeking a Manufacturing-Optical Lab Technician for a Monday-Friday 9pm-6am shift to support lens processing and finishing operations. You will follow documented procedures, operate tracing, tinting, and coating equipment, and ensure quality and timely delivery of products.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with training provided for the essential functions. Overtime may be required and benefits are offered to full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required for full-time.
• Entry-level role with training provided to perform essential functions.
• Minimum six (6) months of optical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and contribute as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Measure frames with tracing machine, match paperwork, and prep for scanning.
• Invoice and package finished jobs; scan and bin for shipping.
• Sort frames in system and place in color-coded trays.
• Operate finishing equipment and align lenses with precision tools.
• Tint lenses to specified color and adjust tint as needed.
• Inspect lenses and perform cosmetic inspection.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety SOPs.
• Overtime as needed; participate in team meetings.
