Job summary

ABB Optical Group is seeking a Lab Technician/Warehouse Associate for a Sat–Tue 5:00am–3:30pm shift. The role focuses on timely and accurate processing of products in the lab, with duties ranging from measuring frames to tinting and finishing lenses.

Training is provided for entry-level applicants. Responsibilities include handling, packaging, and shipping finished jobs, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and adhering to OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required for full-time employment.
• Entry-level: No specific prior work experience required; training provided to enable employees to perform minimum essential functions.
• Proficient: Minimum six (6) months of optical manufacturing experience in same or similar position prior to skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Use tracing machine to measure frame and match paperwork to trays.
• Invoice and package finished jobs; scan and bin jobs for shipping.
• Sort and receive frames; place in appropriate colored trays.
• Secure lenses in holding tools for generation, polishing, and coating.
• Mount and edge lenses; align finished lenses in frames.
• Tint lenses to specified color and adjust tint as needed.
• Unload lenses; inspect and sort for AR coating.
