Job summary

The Providence Center is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to perform routine and higher level administrative tasks to assist physicians, nurses and other clinical staff in effectively accomplishing their medical duties.

Maintain cooperative, respectful relationships with Center Staff, local agencies, consumers and the public. The Float Medical Assistant must be able to travel to other TPC department and program sites to cover for other Medical Assistants, as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; medical assistant certificate/license preferred.
• Entry level position.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Must multitask with good typing and grammar.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to physicians and nurses.
• Type correspondence for doctors and ensure timely formatting.
• Obtain patient information and lab results as directed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional relationships.
• Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments.
