Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team as a Float MA. This role travels across locations within Indiana, providing support to primary care physicians and ensuring a seamless patient experience.

The Float MA will perform clinical tasks—taking vitals, injections, blood draws—and handle front-desk duties, scheduling, and charting, while maintaining high standards of care and guest service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where mandated by state law
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date; phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked
• Take vitals, perform venipuncture, injections, wound care; coordinate with labs
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, referrals, check-in/check-out
• Document accurately in medical records and communicate results via e-message, mail, or phone
• Assist with outreach to improve patient engagement and care continuity
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments and procedures
