Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician in Portland, OR. The role covers a wide range of apartment and property maintenance duties to uphold curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

You will work under the maintenance supervisor to address electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and related tasks. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect grounds, and support emergency responses while maintaining safety, professionalism and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance is required.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC and grounds maintenance as directed by supervision.
• Carry out carpentry tasks including wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair and door/lock repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator and related systems.
• Maintain the work order system and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds and common areas to uphold safety, cleanliness and identify repair needs.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, weather events, fires, floods) and communicate issues to leadership.
