Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician for the Resource Team. The role includes day shifts, 48 hours per six weeks, with two weekend shifts and seasonal holidays. You will assist with patient care, safety, and daily activities under RN/LPN supervision.

The position requires CNA training (preferred), current BLS certification, and excellent interpersonal skills. No prior experience required; comprehensive orientation provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited CNA training course preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, answer call lights, and assist units per RN/LPN guidance.
• Perform hourly rounding and safe patient handling tasks with appropriate equipment.
• Assist with ADLs, vitals, intake/output, and basic care under supervision.
• Support admission, discharge, and transfers; orient patients to room and hospital rules.
