Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Tech to support nurses and patients under RN supervision. The position is part-time with 48 hours per pay period, day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and alternating weekends and holidays.

The role emphasizes basic patient care and teamwork within the unit. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA/CMA/EMT certification or nursing student with clinical experience, and BLS. Preferred phlebotomy experience is noted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA/CMA/EMT certification or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Maintains clean and orderly patient rooms.
• Prioritizes unit work and functions under stress with flexibility.
