Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Resource Team on the night shift (11 pm–7:30 am). The role requires assisting with ADLs, vital signs, and safe patient handling under RN/LPN guidance.

Candidates should have CNA training or nursing rotation experience and current BLS certification. Per diem night shifts, 48 hours per 6 weeks, with weekend requirements and holiday coverage are included.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (CNA) training course preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs and basic care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Answer call lights, phones and assist visitors; perform hourly rounds.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and safe handling techniques.
• Document patient care activities and notify nurse of changes.
• Transport and escort patients as needed.
