Job summary

Advocate Health Navicent Resource Team seek a Nursing Assistant to float among Navicent, Baldwin, Peach and Rehab facilities. You will assist RNs with daily patient care, take vitals, document in EMR, and support admission to discharge processes.

Requires BLS and Nurse Aide in good standing in the respective state. GED or HS diploma is required; two years of acute care CNA experience preferred. Must meet physical requirements and maintain hospital certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility, and use of assistive devices.
• Measures and documents vitals and other patient data; documents in EMR.
• Performs rounds and communicates observations to RN.
• Assists in admission, transfer, discharge procedures and room setup.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Runs errands and manages nursing area stock; cleans equipment and work areas.
• Performs patient positioning and transport duties; assists with diet and nutrition needs.
• Maintains skin integrity and uses required patient supplies and equipment.
• May assist with IVs, post-mortem care, and bladder scans as directed.
• Adheres to infection prevention policies and patient age-specific care.
