Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 6 months customer service experience
• Data entry and/or cash handling experience
• Ability to travel between branches on an as-needed basis
• Proven verbal communication skills
• Proven interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
• Well-organized with good time management and prioritization
• Proficient with internet and basic tech tools

Responsibilities

• Adhere to customer service standards and provide a differentiated experience
• Educate customers through shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations; identify self-service opportunities
• Engage in lobby management, meeting and greeting customers and addressing needs
• Accurately balance and process customer transactions following Bank Policy
• Own escalated account issues and log all customer complaints
• Transition sales opportunities to appropriate banking partners
• Complete branch operations (cash orders, vault, ATMs, wires)
• Process customer/account maintenance accurately
• Perform Consumer AML/KYC related activities
• Uphold compliance and risk controls and support audits
• Promote the M&T Bank brand and a belonging-based culture
