Job summary

WaKeeney Family Care Center is seeking a full-time RN or LPN to serve as a float nurse PRN. The successful candidate will assess patients, coordinate care with providers, and support clinical operations.

Responsibilities include documenting histories, coordinating referrals, and maintaining regulatory compliance while delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN Current Kansas License.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to details.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversees patient schedules, appointments and procedures.
• Attends and assists during procedures at request of Provider.
• Schedules and implements referrals for patient at request of Provider.
• Performs patient histories, reviews medications and maintains medical records.
• Follows through with all patient orders with accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Treats patients and families with respect, acting as liaison between patient, Provider and other healthcare providers.
• Accepts other duties as assigned.
• Consults with other departments to provide interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicates clearly with Clinic Operation Director, coworkers and Providers.
• Demonstrates flexibility and ability to function under stress.
• Orders medications from hospital pharmacy to maintain stock for clinic.
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Float Nurse as requested.
