Job summary

Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, KS is seeking a full-time Clinic/Outpatient Float Nurse (LPN or RN) for a day-shift role. This position supports the Rural Health Clinic and specialty services, delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinic environment.

You will assist with patient assessments, medications, exams, and follow-up care, while documenting in the EMR and coordinating with providers to ensure smooth visits and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience preferred.
• Strong organization, prioritization and multitasking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
• Ability to explain medical information clearly and accurately.
• KS license to practice; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient assessments, exams and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms, collect histories and vitals, ensure flow.
• Educate patients on medications and treatment plans.
• Accurately chart in the EMR and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver a patient-first experience.
