Job summary

PediaStaff is seeking a School Float Nurse – RN to support students in the Lenexa, KS area for the upcoming school year. Float nurses provide care in all school nurse clinics, including 1:1 settings, with responsibilities spanning g-tube care, suctioning, ventilator management, ostomy care, seizure management, and chronic condition oversight.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Kansas.
• BLS certification on file.
• At least one year of acute care experience or similar.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Float Nurses provide care for all students, including 1:1 assignments.
• Manage g-tube, trach suctioning, oral suctioning, ventilator support and ostomy care.
• Conduct health screenings and manage medications per district policies.
• Document care in the student information system and follow emergency protocols.
