Job summary
Northwestern Medicine seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Float CDH Resource Team in a full-time days schedule. The role delivers patient-centered care to acutely ill patients, coordinating the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and staff within the Northwestern Medicine system.
Requirements include a BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years, Illinois RN license, BLS, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and ER/Peds certifications (ACLS, PALS/ENPC,
Qualifications
- BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate.
- Strong analytic abilities.
- Emergency Room requirements: ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire.
- Pediatric EM requirements: Pediatric Advanced Life Support, TNCC within one year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Clinical nursing care for acutely ill patients using the nursing process.
- Interact with patient, family, and health team members following ANA standards.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and coordinate care delivery.
- Direct care and utilization of any assistants providing direct patient care.
- Collaborate with patient, family, physicians and staff to document outcomes.
