Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Float Registered Nurse Inpatient for the Delnor Resource Team. This role supports inpatient care across units, coordinating care to meet patient needs with a flexible, patient-first approach.

The position is full-time days, three 12-hour shifts (7a–7:30p) with every third weekend and rotating holidays. Requires a BSN/ADN with plan to obtain BSN, IL RN license, and BLS, plus strong collaboration and analytic skills.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with a plan to obtain BSN within three years of employment.
• Active IL Registered Nurse license and current BLS certification.
• Ability to collaborate with care team and analyze patient data.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process.
• Engage with patients and families, and coordinate with health team members.
• Develop and evaluate an individualized care plan and adjust as needed.
• Direct care and supervise any nursing staff involved in patient care.
• Document outcomes, communicate with team, and participate in governance.
