Job summary

UC San Diego Health Hillcrest is seeking a Float Pool Staffing Specialist to support more than 200 Traveler and Registry RNs and CNAs. Under the Nursing Float Pool Manager, you will coordinate scheduling, verify compliance, and collaborate with HR and Education to manage UC Learning modules.

The coordinator reviews competencies to ensure proper training for Float Pool members. You will work with practice managers to understand resource needs, maintain float pool scheduling, and track requests

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Two (2) or more years of relevant staffing experience using ANSOS or similar web scheduling program.
• Working knowledge of business intelligence functions and analytics.
• Working knowledge of relevant internal databases, BI applications and tools. Ability to produce reports and documentation.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-resolution skills.
• Detail oriented, with demonstrated organizational skills.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with professional and technical staff.
• Ability to train staff at a variety of technical skill levels.

Responsibilities

• ANSOS and Webscheduler system maintenance (update and reset, funding and work shift codes, troubleshooting issues with access and data entry).
• Interface maintenance (HealthTime, budget, acuity).
• Onboarding and training staff and unit leaders new to the system.
• Report/Audit - maintenance of regulatory requirements.
