UCSD Health is seeking a Nursing Float Pool Coordinator to support 200+ Traveler and Registry RN/CNA staff. You will coordinate scheduling, verify compliance, and collaborate with HR and Education on learning modules.

Under the direction of the Nursing Float Pool Manager, provides a wide variety of academic and administrative services to support to 200+ Traveler and Registry Registered Nurses (RN) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). Serves as first point of contact for float pool compliance verification and maintenance. Collaborates with HR and the Education Department in assigning and maintenance of required UC Learning modules. In collaboration with Float Pool Manager, reviews competencies and required skills to ensure Float Pool members have the support and proper training.
Works with the managers and directors of all practices to understand their resource needs. Assists with float pool staff day-to-day operations. Creates and maintains float pool scheduling. The coordinator works to ensure all incoming request for float assistance are reviewed and responded to in a timely manner. Track all requests including those that were filled and not filled and document the specific requested information. Provide administrative back-up to the centralized nursing staffing office.
Applies acquired skills and professional concepts to business analytics projects of small to medium size and intermediate scope and complexity. Involves analysis of complex business problems using data to provide insight to decision makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Develops forecasts, recommendations, and strategic / tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Works with business and / or clinical units to understand and prioritize data and information requirements. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required / available data elements. Optimizes the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and index that add value to the user. Develops business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions.
Annual Full Pay Range: $81,600 - $147,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $39.08 - $70.79
