Job summary

Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA is seeking a Staffer for the Float Pool to help coordinate nursing staffing across units. You will fill shift requests, balance workload, and support managers to ensure patient care coverage.

Under the Nurse Manager’s supervision, you’ll maintain master schedules, monitor attendance and overtime, assist with training materials, and communicate staffing changes to unit managers and offices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Kronos Timekeeper and scheduling tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) as required.
• Understanding of medical terminology and hospital terminology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare staff schedules for multiple facilities.
• Fill staff requests based on highest need daily.
• Maintain master schedules and track attendance and overtime.
• Assist with training materials and department needs.
• Communicate scheduling changes to managers and staff.
