Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the Resource Pool (Float Pool). This role offers variety, flexibility, and coverage across days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

As a Resource Pool RN you will float to multiple units, maintain safe staffing, and provide high‑quality, evidence‑based care. A 10% float differential is included; BSN is required by 4/27/2025; minimum 1 year RN experience; BLS; compact licensure

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at St. Vincent Hospital.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RN must obtain BSN within four years if under 12 months of experience.
• BSN required from an accredited institution; updated 4/27/2025.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and acuity levels.
• Collaborate with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold professional, ethical, and organizational nursing standards.
