Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the St. Vincent Hospital Resource Pool in Billings, Montana.

As a Resource Pool RN, you will float across inpatient units to maintain safe staffing and provide high-quality care with a 10% float differential. You will start in Medical-Surgical areas with opportunities for cross-training into specialty units, working days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
• Willingness to float across multiple units.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years of hire date.
• Bachelor\u2019s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• BSN is required as of the last update (4/27/2025).

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units and patient populations.
• Collaborate with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold nursing standards and professional ethics.
