Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking experienced Resource Pool RNs to provide safe and flexible nursing care across inpatient units. You will float to areas of greatest need, gaining broad clinical exposure while supporting continuity of care.

The role offers a 10% float differential, opportunities for cross-training, and coverage across days, nights, weekends, and holidays in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at St. Vincent Hospital.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years of hire date.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; degree from an accredited institution.
• BSN required as of 4/27/2025; prior hires are held to previous requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units and patient populations.
• Collaborate with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold professional and organizational standards of nursing practice.
