Job summary

The University of Virginia's UVA Community Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Floater for the ICU/ED across UVACH facilities. This full-time position requires at least 2 years of ICU or ED experience and will float to multiple units to meet patient care needs.

The role includes day and night shifts with a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. As a member of the UVACH Float Pool, you will contribute to high-quality patient care, support advanced medical technologies, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Team 1 (Specialty/CCU): Minimum of 2 years in critical care or ED setting required. Team 2 (Inpatient Acute): Minimum of 1 year general medical surgical/telemetry experience required. Team 3 (Women's Services): Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, or NICU required. All teams require Cardiac Dysrhythmia test or completion of the Cardiac Dysrhythmia course within 6 months of hire.
• Current compact RN licensure in applicable state required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and NVCI

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous quality patient care across UVACH facilities as part of the Float Pool.
• Float to varying units to meet patient care needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
• Ensure completion of nursing interventions and adherence to medical orders.
• Maintain safety and documentation standards.
