Job summary

UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper is seeking a Registered Nurse UVACH Floaters to provide continuous quality patient care across ICU/ED settings. The Float Pool RN will rotate among Haymarket Medical Center, Prince William Medical Center and Culpeper Medical Center, adapting to unit needs.

Candidates must have 2 years ICU or ED experience, hold a current compact RN license, and demonstrate BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and NVCI. BSN preferred; a $15,000 sign-on is available for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current compact RN licensure in applicable state.
• Minimum ICU or ED experience as specified by team requirements.
• Proficiency with standard nursing interventions and patient care documentation.

Responsibilities

• Float to Haymarket Medical Center, Prince William Medical Center and Culpeper Medical Center.
• Provide continuous quality patient care across units with varying acuity.
• Communicate plan of care to patient and family and document timely.
• Respond to critical situations including CPR and rapid patient transfers.
