Job summary

The University of Virginia (UVA) Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse Floater for Women’s Services within UVA Community Health. This full-time role involves rotating across units as part of a dedicated Float Pool to ensure high-quality patient care, with an emphasis on labor/delivery and related postnatal care.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree (BSN preferred) and has 2+ years in critical care or ED for Team 1, 1 year general med/surgical/telemetry for Team 2, or 2 years in

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree preferred - BSN preferred.
• Team 1 (Specialty/CCU): 2 years in critical care or ED; Team 2: 1 year medical surgical/telemetry; Team 3: 2 years in Labor and Delivery/ NICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous quality patient care in multiple units as part of Float Pool.
• Work across RN teams to match unit needs and acuity.
• Administer medications, start IVs, perform dressings and patient transfers.
