Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Resource Pool (Float Pool). You will float to Medical-Surgical and other units, delivering safe, evidence-based care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

We offer 36 hours weekly, a 10% float differential, and opportunities for cross-training into specialty units while maintaining high standards of patient care in a trusted community hospital.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at St. Vincent Hospital.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years.
• BSN is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and acuity levels.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery, understanding, and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold professional, ethical, and organizational standards of nursing practice.
